1. Kitchen Stories
Kitchen Stories is a handy and yet very beautiful application containing an impressive collection of recipes.
The recipes here are grouped into categories: “The best breakfasts and snacks,” “Hearty dinners,” “Meals for vegans,” and so on. In addition, Kitchen Stories has a search and filter records. You can find a pair of clicks with a special ingredient or belonging to a particular kitchen.
For beginners there is a separate section with tips and tricks. Many recipes are accompanied by video instructions. Finally, Kitchen Stories allows you to quickly create a shopping list of ingredients for selected dishes.
2. RecipeBook
Quite an interesting application that has an interesting feature Snap’n’Cook (“Shake and cook”). It works like this: you find what ingredients you have in the fridge, mark them in the search, and then shake the phone. And the program shows that all of this can be prepared.
Another trick – photographing ingredients. Take a picture of the product, shake it, and the program will tell you what it is and what you can cook out of it.
3. Cookpad
Very nice application with a clean interface, which also has no ads and intrusive offers to buy a premium version. Recipes are added here by users to subscribe to, comment on their culinary creations and even send them private messages. It looks like a social network, where instead of cats there are photos of borsch and cutlets.
A lot of recipes. Here and drinks, and desserts, and meat dishes, and diet, and salads, and pastries. In the lists by categories you can find national dishes – Belarusian, Caucasian, Tatar and others. There are here, for example, and recipes for Muslims. Or vegans . True, they are not flagged as separate categories and are only searched for by search.
Favorite recipes are added to favorites, and you can also send them to some Pocket or by email.
4. Smachno
Indisputable plus Smachno applications – an extensive database of recipes. A minor minus is not a very convenient interface. For example, in the search results, the recipes are given in solid text, without photos and spacing between the mobile expert. However, at the same time at least there is filtering by type of dish and ingredients.
But the recipes themselves are decorated very high quality. Each step is described in detail and provided with photographs. The application has a shopping list, where the necessary products for cooking are added. And if you register, you can leave comments under the recipes and add your own dishes.
5. ShefKot
Nice application with a bunch of recipes – there are about 5000 of them here, all are divided into categories and are well searched for by search. It is useful that a timer is built into the program so that you don’t exactly confuse what and how much time to cook or fry. Just tap its icon next to the next step, set the time and click “Save.”
Shopping list, the ability to share recipes, comment on them and add your own is also present. There is a good advanced search mode – by ingredients, national cuisine, vegetarian, halal or dietary dishes, and so on.
The only thing that annoys in “ShefKote” is the section with … logical games in the side tab. Why is it in the cookbook? Apparently, so as not to be bored while the jelly is boiled.
6. Patee
In Patee, step-by-step recipes are very high quality. Each stage of preparation is provided with photographs and descriptions. Especially good is the fact that on a separate tab you can see such dish parameters as nutritional value, protein content, fats and carbohydrates and other tricky things that will be useful for athletes and those who are on a diet.
But you have to pay for everything. First, the program is overloaded with ads. You open the vending recipe, and a banner with music for 10 seconds is displayed on the whole screen – so the smartphone wo n’t be dropped into the pan for long. Secondly, some of the recipes here can be viewed only by purchasing a premium subscription.
7. Yummly
A popular application that is worth mentioning, despite being in English. However, links to favorite recipes can, for example, throw in the translator. Yummly is used by chefs from around the world, and it contains thousands of recipes from all kinds of people. It is useful if you want to diversify your diet and find out what people eat in some Brazil or New Zealand.
In Yummly very beautiful design – when looking at the colorful photos of dishes just drooling flow. When you click on the photo in front of you there is a list of products and an approximate cooking time. If you think that you can do the recipe, click on the View button and get a step-by-step cooking process.
