Nowadays, in the middle of the internet era, sales strategies have changed. Having a marketing plan and brand strategy has become essential. The first thing to keep in mind, it does not matter if your business is online or offline, is of course, have a quality product or, if the company is dedicated to offering services, have an efficient team capable of doing an extraordinary job. The key point for the development and growth of a company is in the creation of the marketing plan, that tool in which it seeks to build loyalty and obtain new buyers, directing commercial actions, seeking consistency and profitability. Opposing to what many people think, the marketing plan is not only related to the economic aspects of the company. It is also a basic step in the brand strategy, that is, in the path that will lead the business to the construction of an image that remains engraved in the minds of its customers, both captive and potential. A successful leader like Mathieu Chantelois will always encourage cooperation between employees and teamwork. After 20 years in the corporate world, Mathieu Chantelois decided to dedicate his knowledge and expertise to his passion for helping others in the nonprofit sector.

    Brand image:

When the company will talk about a brand, it is exactly when company have to forget about the product. A company can have a fantastic product, yes, but if it does not have a powerful brand this will not do much good. All companies have brand images as powerful and worked as Coca-Cola, Apple or Nike, companies that not only stand out for their products but for the quality of their marketing internationally. To create a brand image, company should have thought a lot about it before; having carried out studies, actions, different proposals must have been made or, in other words, what has been known as a brand strategy must have been developed.

    Brand strategy:

The brand strategy is nothing else but to define a path through which to travel in the direction of the desired image. In this you can’t be confused since any mistake can throw away previous work. To define a strategy, it is necessary to know yourself, that is, what is your greatest strength, your competitive advantage in the market you want to enter, and once you know it, you must direct all actions to strengthen it, since it is what that will make me different from the rest, especially in very competitive markets.

Basic steps of a marketing plan:

    The market:

The first thing when making a marketing plan is to know well in what market the company moves, or what is the same, to know what your competition is and what makes your product and your brand different, what is your value added, which is basically what makes a customer feel if he is getting more or less for the money he is spending.

    Target:

Afterwards, it is important to define what your target market or target audience will be, whom you want to target. This is directly related to the brand strategy, since according to your audience you will communicate in one way or another.

    Goals:

Here, always remember that your objectives must be smart.

    • Specific: The objective must be as real as possible. Any person who sees it must know what exactly you intend to do and how.
    • Measurable: The objective must be measurable, so it must be a quantifiable goal. In some cases it is complicated but it must be measurable in order to analyze whether it was achieved or not.
