How To Choose The Right Pillow

Pillows are the last thing that gets importance in a bedroom. People ignore the fact that getting the right pillows are as important as getting the right mattress. Worn out pillows are the major cause of people suffering from neck pain, shoulder pain, and back pain. Your sleep quality will be affected if you do not change the pillow after its lifetime. Wakefit sleeping pillows are made with 350 GSM spun polyester fabric and with 200 GSM hollow fiber filling so that people can enjoy sleeping without any difficulties. There are certain factors you should keep in mind while looking for a good pillow.

    Material Matters!

Pillows have a lot of fill options. The ‘one size fits all’ doesn’t matter if you plan to buy a pillow without doing thorough research about the filling.

    • Down pillows are perfect if you are a person who likes to sleep on a light and soft pillow. These pillows are made mostly of duck fibers and good quality down pillows can be expensive.
    • Polyester Fill: This filling can be less expensive when compared to down pillows. It holds the shape well and gives good support too. However, with more usage, these pillows tend to lose their support and needs to the replaced frequently.
    • Memory Foam: The memory foam pillows can give proper support to problem areas like neck, back, and shoulders. These pillows are long-lasting and are made of polyurethane so that it can contour to the weight of your neck, and shoulders.
    • Wool and Cotton: If you tend to catch up allergies, then woolen and cotton pillows are the best as these pillows are hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites and mold.
    • Latex: These pillows are comfortable but more firm. They are mold resistant and are a perfect choice for people suffering from allergies. They are cooler than memory foam and can be heavy and expensive.

    Fill Power

When you plan to buy a pillow, make sure that you check for  the measure called fill power. This indicates the filling inside the pillow. If the filling is plump, it means that the pillow will last long.

    Check The Weight

If you prefer your pillow to be lightweight, then down and synthetic pillows will be the right option as they can be reshaped.

    Check The Quality Of Fill

Comfort should be the slogan when you try to find out the right pillow for you. Once you decide on a pillow, it is important that you check the quality of the fill also, because the prices will vary according to the fill and you would not want to invest on something which does not meet your requirements.

    Size Of The Pillow

Consider factors like how big is your bed and how many pillows you need before you plan to buy a pillow. The pillow size matters according to the bed size such as standard, Queen, and king. Standard pillows are the best if you do not want to consider your bed size as standard pillow matches with every bed.

    Pillowcases

If you would like to use the pillow for a long time, then invest in buying a good quality pillowcase. The pillowcases protect the pillows against sweat and stains.

    The Sleeping Position

Sleeping positions matters when you buy a pillow. If you are a side sleeper, then a firmer pillow would be the right choice. Back sleeper should use a flat pillow so that the boy can rest in the natural alignment.

To improve sleep quality, it is important that you have the right pillow along with the right mattress. Nowadays, you can get the right pillows online too. Your pillow choice should go with the type of mattress you have. If you use a firm mattress, then go for a soft pillow and vice versa so that the head weight can be equally distributed and you can get a peaceful sleep.
